Introducing The Crypto Market Dynamics - mid-December/2017

With the crypto market moving at breakneck speed, it is even more important to keep a finger in the pulse of the market regularly and often. Some readers asked whether I could update more frequently The Crypto Assets Map, but its own nature is more of an exploratory map that you would consult whenever you want to check your position rather than something you would use to keep track of your movement.

The idea of having a more dynamic visualization stayed with me though. The new Crypto Market Dynamics is my answer to this - its purpose is to show very quickly where the market is moving, both in terms of market cap and volume (past 30 days). It does it by representing how much market cap and volume changed against a baseline date (values are not percentages but an index where baseline equals 100). This splits the graph in 4 quadrants, which combine market cap increase / decrease with volume increase / decrease. Bubble size is proportional to most recent market cap.
