Can you still make money claiming from crytpo faucets? Week 20 of data analysis for my crypto faucet experiment. I started this because of typical fear of missing out,(if only I had started this, 6 months ago, a year ago it could be worth X). This is not your typical faucet post with "check out this faucet" (affiliate link). While these are my affiliate links, you will also see my transparency in reporting.
TL/DR: Lifetime Value: $21.88 (Down $1.82 from Week 19)--- Over 7,750+ claims $20.70. 94.5% of earnings are from my actions, 5.3% are from referral claims.
Week 19 - Over 276+ claims for a total of $1.20 88% ofearnings are from my actions, 12% - $0.14 are from referral claims.
Week 19 Breakdown

Claims Claims and more Claims
Another Down week for me, I lost drive to claim, the price decline has been hard to keep motivated.
Here is a quick breakdown by coins and value for the week
Coin | Amt Claimed | Value |
---|---|---|
BTC | .00007065 | $0.56 |
BCH | .00006575 | $0.06 |
Dash | .00018161 | $0.07 |
Doge | 26.13 | $0.09 |
LTC | .00060761 | $0.09 |
There are 9 faucets I am using for this experiment, I only plan on adding more if CoinPot does. Honestly at this point it is hard to keep up with them all to maximize returns. Plus I start traveling for work, and I doubt airports and plane rides are conductive to reCaptcha.

Satoshi Hero has changed, now you can win 100,000 satoshi
A nice change to how Satoshi Hero is working, you can now win up to 100,000 satoshi. I think I hit a 1000 satoshi faucet this last week but
- I didn't get a screen shot and was just clicking to get to the next claim
- I didn't save my faucet data properly at the end of Saturday, and I can't view history in Satoshi Hero.
I had to spread my gains over a few extra days, but you can see I jumped about 933 this week, so I think its highly likely I hit the 1000.
Is it too late? Removing price volatility.
The graph below tries to remove the price volatility from my faucet claims results by using a static prices based on the price of the first day I started to claim from that faucet. That dip reset me to almost even, and I am a long ways from my all time highs. I had hoped to clear $100 USD in the year but at this rate, I really need some good price support to get there.

Very interesting project. I am intrigued by the concept as I always felt that faucets produced to little to actually make it worth the time to track them down and use them. I will have to follow you now @sentsless to see how this turns out. Thanks for doing the hard work in the name of research! 🙂

Thanks for the comments, I feel the same way about the time vs effort, but if the prices goes 2,3,8x then I would regret not doing it. I wonder how much I could of had if I had started in 2015/6.
I really try to make the post more data driven than hype driven. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Yup - My website where I post the articles a few days after I post here on Steemit. Interesting the robot pulled from my site and not the 18 other posts I have made here on Steemit.

Congratulation on this nice project. I like your approach and also the way your present it. I had the luck to start with faucets when a single Btc claim paid up to 3000 satoshis... At the moment it may seem boring or frustrating to claim a couple of satoshis from faucets. However you never know how the prices will evolve. It might be possible that even a couple of satoshis may be worth a lot of money in the future...
I think that claiming from faucets is a good start but there are ways to leverage your income by developing referral income rather than to claim directly from the faucets.
I did that by building a faucet rotator and later faucets lists. To have faucet lists does however not bring referrals automatically. So to be able to get traffic to these lists, I built my own faucets. I put ad networks on my faucets to cover the costs related to what I pay the users of my faucets and my profit is the referral commissions that I get from other faucets.
If you are interested in taking the same path, I built a free online course how to build a faucet.

No idea how I never saw this comment, must been before I used Ginabot. Thanks! I have noticed a lot of faucet lists and rotators. I agree the profit appears to be in the referrals game, and coul really improve my results if I pursue that line.
