It's becoming obvious that ripple will be the core of mainstream financial institutions 1st generation blockchain applications. However, banking technology is always encapsulated, regulated and difficult to evolve or improve. Therefore, XRP has a greater likelihood of becoming a zombie than a top tie player in the medium term
