Nice article. I don't see people wearing clunky glasses around. It's been tried many times and failed. LCD technology isn't the future. If I'm not mistake Intel is working on actual contact lenses for A.R. Human body produces plenty of energy we just need to get the technology smaller. They need to make a quick and dirty prototype to demonstrate it's feasible. I'd go with MOLED lenses. Uses less energy. They also have new battery types that don't rely on lithium but just regular salt. Far superior capacity and charging speed. Biggest problem is there is a physical monopoly in place that makes the glasses. Doesn't matter if you are buying sun glasses, reading glasses, or prescription lenses. One corporation owns all the shell corporations cornering the market. Anti-trust laws be damned under the government. We simply don't have the government we need. We have the government we deserve. Everyone is owned not by the people, but by whomever holds the most money. Exoskeletons will be here before augmented reality. You can see the writing on the wall there simply by the amount of money being dumped into endless wars fought for corporate profits.
