Good to know why, thanks!

Everything is going to be ok babe. They gonna fix it!

I think most users are currently experiencing some trouble.. I guess we just need to be patient!

BUY CRYPTOES SEEL THE US DOLLAR

The dollar will begin its 18 year cycle with a 9 year downturn period to the eurocurrencies as it always has done. This will probably be very bullish for precious metals.

Check out this post for more on the cycles of weakening US dollar and the current state of the dollar.

I share @soldier's opinion. Shit happens. Remember her post about the lost jacket.
Greetings from Munich. Christian.

Now this happened when I tried to login, after doing a second verification: "Access denied. Error 1015.You are being rate limited. The owner of the website has banned you temporarily from accessing the website". I wasn't mad before, but this is just ridiculous! Anybody know what to do?

Guys keep safe and trade on bitshares decentralized exchange. Transfers happen within 1 second and you know for sure that no one will ever steal your money. Surely you may lose some trading opportunity due to lack of liquidity (which although is significantly improved day by day it doesn't compare to Polo liquidity) but at least you can sleep safe in the night. My experience in crypto is that when this kind of pumps happen across all cryptos a big exchange will get "hacked" soon..I don't buy it that so much new money came in from new investors within the last couple of months, especially in bitcoin..That is the usual pump from bots and centralized exchanges and then sudden dump and newbies blood on the street..Of course no one knows when the Pump will end but it is better to keep safe than regret later imho...

So I will repeat it once more... Bitshares DEX!! Keep it safe!!

Thank you for the recommendation - that's good to know!
I understand your concerns but I hope that Poloniex will improve and they won't become the next mt gox.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your information, every poloniex user should know about the possible risks and alternatives!

You can try Bittrex instead of Poloniex!

Thank you, yes I will start looking at other exchange platforms

As I said, I like Bittrex, Liqui is also an option. Look also at Tidex and Tux exchange. There are many options. I like also DEX (decentralized exchanges) like OpenLedger, Bitsquare.

Congratulations @sirwinchester!

Yes, definitely too much pressure for their servers!!

There goes @aggroed coming in on point with his memes :)
A little bit of south park goes a long way.....so they say

Причины по бану IP все еще непонятны. На странице часто вижу : Error 1015((

I like seeing the main image with the poloni logo and you on the phone. That and the last image really connected with me. I hope your issues get sorted out.

Thank you for the compliment, appreciate it!

@sirwinchester
Spending some serious time behind the screen with the photoshop mastery and graphic design. I might call on you for some media / content creation in the near future. :)

😎 thank you!

Got you hooked up to my @Streemian. Can't believe I haven't been following your great posts. My favorite discovery this week.

That's awesome, thank you - I appreciate it!

Sad to hear what's going on but I believe that everything is going to be ok soon!

Yes 💪 I'm sure they'll improve soon!

Yes very annoying! Tried selling 1/3 of my SiaCoin (SC) today after 2 days of moves. Almost 100% up and took forever to get out :( Now all sorted and happy though, just try again!

Oh that's really upsetting. Luckily you got it all figured out in the end

I missed a good trade on Burst because of poloniex. Im on bittrex now. Much better

Sad to hear that so many users missed opportunities because of site errors.
But glad to hear that you've found an alternative that works better for you!

Similar issue for me. I've been waiting for approval since Saturday.

Wow, 5 days - that's unacceptable! I hope they will release all of the funds soon!

I was wondering myself what is going on when I asked three times for withdrawal :/

Yes I feel like almost everyone has experienced something like this in the past few days - we need to be patient with the withdrawals

Poloniex is my favorite place to trade, best UI of any exchange I've used and easy to get in & out of positions with high volumes on the major cryptos. So that makes it even more frustrating when periods of high demand lead to poor user experiences. I'm never worried about the security of my funds, as Polo has been perfectly reliable for the 2 years I've been using it - but better safe than sorry, so I do try to limit myself to only keeping about 10% of my portfolio on the exchange at any given time (I like leaving some BTC on there to lend and have available when time sensitive opportunities arise).

Hopefully they will be successful in their efforts to scale up capacity, and in the meantime we just have to be patient with them. Polo hasn't given me reason to doubt them yet, so I'm willing to trust that they are working hard on the problem and things will get better.

Yes I agree - Poloniex has always been safe for me and I've never experienced any issues.
Only in the last month it's become annoying and difficult to trade on there due to the endless lags!
I know the traffic has increased dramatically - but still, we've been waiting for a month for this problem to get fixed and it's still there.
I wouldn't even think twice about it if it was a one-time thing, but it's been happening several times each day for weeks.
I hope Poloniex stays safe, I've already lost 60 btc on cryptsy back in the day - and don't even get me started on mt gox....

I'm keeping my fingers crossed too. I almost got caught up in the Bitfinex hack last summer. Had a lot of ETH on there, but got a funny feeling and decided to pull it out while I was away on vacation. A day after I withdrew everything, the hack happened. I still get chills thinking about how lucky I was to dodge that bullet. I've been paranoid about leaving money on exchanges since then, but so far so good.

Sorry to hear you got hit by Cryptsy and Mt. Gox, that sounds rough.

Do you think it'd be better to switch over to Kraken or other exchanges?

I'm currently sticking to Poloniex and waiting until they improve their service. In my opinion they still offer benefits and many different currencies which is why I haven't given up on them yet.

That sucks Man. You jumped at an opportunity but technology let you down. I trade at GDAX and it's having growing pains as well.

Followed you on twitter too!

Thanks for sharing! Which alternative to poloniex could you recommend?

For now I'm sticking to poloniex and hoping that they'll improve, but I think bittrex might be an alternative for you to check out.

Thanks! What are your thoughts on Shapeshift?

Yeah! For hours straight every order I tried to place was canceled due to time out. The past couple of weeks have been crazy over at Polo. I hope they get their act together.

Yes I really hope they will act soon and resolve all of the issues!

I hate to say it but it feels like a Mt. Gox waiting to happen. There are a lot of fishy things about Poloniex. Does anybody really believe that this massive yet crappy and highly secretive service is really run by a Tristan D'Agosta (that's a Italian royal family name by the way), a part time music composer.. really?? I won't be leaving money sitting on the table there and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to others either. I'll only trade there when I have to. Bittrex is for me a better solution now before at lot of new exchange solutions start coming onto the market.

I didn't know those details about the owners... thanks for sharing.
Let's hope that Poloniex will figure out a solution and everything will normalize soon

That's too bad the lag essentially cost you 3k; hopefully it's something Poloniex will improve on in the near future. Great article!

Thank you!
Yes that was a very unfortunate situation, I hope Poloniex will handle situations like these better in the future.

LIKEWISE...

Totally agree.. Poloniex sucks....time has come to look for better and reliable cryto trading platform. I am with bittrex now, what about you?

I'm still waiting for Poloniex to resolve their issues - I'm sticking with them and I hope they'll improve their service soon.

So Polo is crowded.that's why i couldn't sell my lil token.......poor PoloNation!

They're unable to cope with the high demand, despite adding so many servers.. let's hope they'll fix it soon!

Unfortunately adding more servers won't help if they have a bottleneck in their architecture design. I think it will take some time for them to solve this problem.

Until then be cautions fellow Cryptonians :)

I had SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many issue with polo especially Timing im pretty sure they use users fund for Leverage themself i have copy of email where i ask why my wallet was lock i got from answer ( you need to get in touch with johnny) WHO the F was this guy i dont know at the end i never meet him and my wallet was unlock 3 days after .....

Hi @sirwinchester, just chasing up about SCC#26 4th place winner @amy-goodrich, I think you forgot to send her prize! Last week there was no 4th place winner as there were only 3 entries, so it's just that one from 2 weeks ago to pay. many thanks :-)

The surge in popularity for cryptocurrencies seems to have caught many providers off guard. Has anyone noticed Steemit running a little slower these days or maybe it's just my imagination.

Thanks for highlighting this @sirwinchester and have fun enjoying the sun :)

Thank you for your comment! Yes, seems like nobody was prepared for this increased traffic.
I'm not sure if Steemit is any slower, but they're probably preparing for increased users and transactions as well.
