Satori is back and they are after your Crypto!

Apparently, Satori is now focusing its efforts on Crypto Mining Software and Hardware with unkept security. The known victim so far is the Claymore Miner. The malware replaces the deposit address and siphons funds from that point on to their wallets. (Goodin, 2018) The Ethereum address known to be associated with Satori (B15A5332eB7cD2DD7a4Ec7f96749E769A371572d) shows at least two eth already being paid out from it.

Dan Goodin at arsTECHNICA states that he believes that the ongoing effect of this discovered malware is shown in the recent “Etherium's value to drop by 42 percent in the past four days” as a sign of Satori’s sell off and market impact. (Goodin, 2018)

According to a quote Dan Goodin supplied in his article, it sounds like the author of the recent variant of Satori may be one the last remaining Sith in our universe.

“Satori dev here, dont be alarmed about this bot it does not currently have any malicious packeting purposes move along. I can be contacted at [email protected]” (Goodin, 2018)

As always be smart in the Crypto world. Security is important no matter what facet of technology you are in. More importantly keep yourself educated!

Good luck, all my fellow Crypto lovers.
