It seemed scary for a while with the impending uncertainty of the UASF BIP-148... we were scared that the coin would split, markets would crash, some exchanges were even going to lock accounts until the problems were resolved... Now we have another option with already 80% acceptance... From Coindesk explainer
"While many thought signaling for the controversial scaling proposal Segwit2x wouldn't begin until July 21, bitcoin miners are now doing just that by way of a piece of code called BIP 91.
At press time, nearly 60% of the last 144 blocks mined have signaled support for the measure. But, what are miners signaling for, and what does bitcoin improvement proposal (BIP) 91 mean for the network?
As the first part of the SegWit2x scaling plan, BIP 91 does two things:
It makes it significantly easier for the network to adopt Segregated Witness (SegWit), a backward compatible upgrade that fixes transaction malleability and clears the path for off-chain solutions like Lightning Network.
If activated by July 31, BIP 91 will supersede BIP 148, a proposal that poses a risk of causing the network to split."
This might mean we will see a stronger BTC in the near future and if this holds true, our altcoins shall follow as well. Since I enjoy different unique coins, and great investment opportunities I made sure to diversify a bit... took a huge hit when the BIP 148 was announced causing the huge dip in BTC, but so far all but my doge coin have recovered. Actually some of my coins have decided to increase in value now, so great reward for my patience I suppose.
If you guys are wondering what my altcoin picks are from my previous postings about making a decent amount off a few great trades, I will list them here:
Vertcoin: claims to be bitcoin upgraded and is a great addition especially at prices under 50 cents USD per coin. I grabbed a few hundred of these and have seen some nice growth. https://vertcoin.org/
HUSH: This is one of my favorites, not because of the currency value, but because of the technology being developed for this coin. A private messenger that is stored on the blockchain and encrypted to all hell and back. Love it! the community is very active and the developers are great people. https://myhush.org/
join their slack channel and talk to the devs, they are awesome.
Chaincoin: Ahh yes, the infamous chain coin. I made 3 grand off this when I had originally bought 1000 for under $40 and sold when they hit $3 a piece. Now I am back into CHC and working on another masternode because the community is freaking awesome. Highoncoins has an amazing dedicated group, so much so that they even got the developers to revive the work on this coin! now we are HODL and plans to exceed DASH. So if you are going to invest, join the Highoncoins slack channel and check out CHC, I don't think you can go wrong here.

Ethereum Classic: Very nice difficulty level for an equihash algo, and I can dual mine some SIA coins with it. The profitability is amazing on this coin, and they vow to stay a untainted Ethereum and not do some of these oddball forks eth is.
Hopefully you enjoyed this and are happy that BTC is saved from this odd position (for now) if you liked this, please share with others, upvote me or I like donations too

I love the fact that it was re-brought to light by LTC Charlie.. I am preparing to buy some more BTC but I will buy also some LTC, he was great and gave a suggestion which helps all parties. I still think on the 1st prices may jump up and down, you?
Anyway, upvoted and followed (:!! Cyrpto on!!!

Oh, the prices will always jump back and forth, for a "currency" or "commodity" (i use quotes because I don't want them considered as these for less regulations) to be open 24/7 across the world for anyone to be able to purchase, mine or trade it I would hope it is always jumping up and down. I hope for this because that means there is still vested interest in the currency and it will continue to live on. It has freed me from a lot of excessive debt so far, and I will continue to free myself from the bank's death grip on my neck.
