Abstract In this paper we analyze the technology used as a backbone of iota (a cryptocurrency for Internet-of-Things industry). This technology naturally succeeds the blockchain technology as its next evolutionary step and comes out with features required for micropayments conducted on a global scale.

As of yesterday and the day before IOTA was making moves in a upward direction and today seems to jump in steps of at least 10% each time. As of now it had a 40% uptick in the last 24h which is quite big for a cryptocurrency on the overall 7th coinmarket position.
Whereas we saw a huge sell of in the first two days after its ICO from 0.64 cents to around 0.30 cents it now recovered and is trying to break the all time high (ATH) of its young history. The 24h trading volume is with over 16 million $ on Bitfinex at 15th position on coinmarketcap´s trading volume. Still it is just at half of the peak volume right after the ICO but if the upward movement keeps on and it crushes the ATH we´ll also be seeing new highs in 24h trading volume. Not to think of a potential posibility of IOTA beeing added on to new exchanges with a even higher volume like poloniex.

IOTA is slowly spreading. Once other exchanges come on board, the prime features of scalability and 'no fees' will present compelling to give this coin some attention.
However, it would be better if the Governour (centralised entity in network as safety measure for now) would be gone already when other exchanges start to list IOTA. The C++ wallet software cannot arrive a day to soon either. It is all still in beta stage.
