Many projects are doomed to fails. One of the reasons some ICO are failures. Another one is they are simply scam. Any successful formula attracts scammers and ICOs is one of them.

The reason EOS was so successful is not only that people are greedy. The pitch is a good one and the funders are already successful in blockchain technologies with steem. Further more EOS gained a lot of popularity through steemit platform...
