In the article above we read how China and Russia will be cracking down on the use of VPN’s. This will leave billions of people in the dark in relation to viewing content from the outside world and will censor their worldview.

At the perfect time Substratum is coming on the scene. The project is set to launch version 1 before the end of 2017 and will deliver the Decentralized Web through the power of the blockchain.

People will be able to quickly and easily install a simple point and click piece of software that will enable them to use their spare computer resources to deliver the Substratum network to other users. For doing this they will earn Substrate, a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, which can be traded on cryptocurrency exchanges for other cryptocurrencies or fiat.

While running a Substratum Node requires a small piece of point and click software to use the Substratum network requires NONE. The average user will use their default browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer) and surf the decentralized web without ever even knowing it.

To ensure that the content on the decentralized web remains of high quality but also free we are building a Self Governing System. This will allow users to vote out bad players such as Terrorism or Child Pornography sites without the interference of government oversight.

How can you get involved? The Substratum team is running an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) to allow people to come on board and join the project.

Amazing concept... How are you going to deal with potential latency issues?

Great question @jnjdg, the next 4 months of our project are focusing heavily on two things overall. Cryptography (to ensure everything that is transmitted is secure beyond reproach) and Compression to make sure everything streams as quickly as possible. We also use advanced Artificial Intelligence to determine which node(s) are the best to deliver content for a particular request based off of geolocation (where the request is coming from) and content (which node(s) have the right content to deliver to the requestor). Thanks for taking a look!

great post. I'll definitely look further into this.

Wow. This is is truly impressive and it seems that the decentralized web will soon be a reality. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to seeing the future of the Substratum Network!

Awsome project keep up the good work :D

Awesome 💥💥💯💯💯💯💯

Woah, just found this, it sounds incredible, ambitious but incredible. Do you really think you'll be ready in time?

Also will you be able to deal with sudden rapid scalability? I mean this thing could absolutely explode, I can't wait and I'm going over to check you out right now.

Thanks!

Hello!
Guys, I really like what you do! It's amazing that there are people who are not equal in attitude to the barbarous laws of countries, regarding freedom of publicity on the Internet. Indeed this is a useful direction for countries like China, Russia and Iran and some other countries ...
Thank you for everything that you do!
