The number of places that accept it will grow. Due to the fees and slow transaction speed will limit it to bigger amounts moved. From what I have seen University tuition qualifies as a large amount of money.

The problem is the high volatility of the crytpo currencies. The fees you have to pay today, tomorrow could be double and the next day half of it.

That is true....it is the one thing that makes the money aspect very difficult to see until the volatility settles down. The way it is now, it simply is not effective to try and conduct business when the values of the currency and transactions are bouncing all over the place.
