Minergate is a downloadable program on both mobile and desktop. This program is for mining. It has a smart miner feature where you can see which coin is the most profitable with your hardware.
I have tried mining a couple of alt coins using this program in order to see if I could attain any profit from them. My hashrate is not the best being at 40 H/s.
As you can see from the profit calculator provided by minergate itself that hashrate will probably never make any amount of profit.
The only way this could result in profit( for those with lower hashrates) is an increase in the price of the coin.
Many people who mined Bitcoin before its rise have made a considerable profit. Now I'm not saying that XDN or Fantomcoin will be the next Bitcoin. But if you have an unused desktop, laptop, or even a phone then why not try mining these currencies. The worst thing that could happen is that you make a couple cents.
