Vertcoin - Litecoin Atomic Swap

 

We know everyone is excited about Atomic Swap (aka cross chain trading) between Litecoin and Vertcoin, here's where we're at:

Development is still underway for several lightning network implementations. The two that look most promising at the moment are lit and lnd. Because these implementations will run as separate software from Vertcoin, the work needed to be done from our standpoint is essentially complete. The next steps for us is to wait until updates are released from the various LN developers.

AMD Optimized Miner

 
The AMD Optimized Miner is a project we're really excited about. Because of the lower hashrates of the AMD cards today, primarily all Vertcoin Mining is done using Nvidia GPUs. We want to change that. We know a large portion of the community has AMD cards and would love to use them for Vertcoin, but we have a bit of work ahead of us. The problem boils down to the mining software, it's not optimized to make best use of the AMD GPUs. Believe it or not optimization of mining algorithms is not an easy task, it requires a very special skillset. Right now, we have one dev helping us with this project but we're running low on funds. Because we operate 100% on donations, it's been difficult to cover some expenses needed for this project. For now, this project is on hold, pending additional funds/donations and additional resources to assist in the code optimization - if you think you could help us here, let us know!

 

One Click Miner

 
We're excited to announce the One Click Miner is in its final stages of development! With the OCM you'll be able to connect to a pool and start mining with the click of a button. No more having to worry about tweaking parameters or configuration files, just open, click and mine! We'll let everyone know once development is complete.
