PalitanX Exchange Launches

                          

The community that brought you Civitas has partnered with another group of developers and launched an exchange, PalitanX. For the past few weeks, select communities have been testing the exchange. Today, public registration opened. Now anyone can join in on this community movement pushing through the cryptocurrency space. 

The biggest motivator behind launching a new exchange was improving the perceived safety the users feel while using the platform. Making the exchange community-based, any support issues are handle in an expedited manner. If you’ve used the support function on other exchanges, you can appreciate having an exchange that is present and expedient in their response to your issue. 

This launch is a big step forward for the Civitas coin. Only four months old, it has grown into a multi-faceted cryptocurrency. The number of Masternodes being created are growing each week. New investors are discovering Civitas everyday. Even better, the coin has a very valuable use case within the PalitanX exchange. 

Features 

This new exchange will utilize Civitas in a similar fashion as the Binance coin is used on the Binance exchange. By holding at least 10 Civitas in your wallet, any transactions’ fees will be cut in half.  

Currently, the transaction fee for PalitanX is .25%. That fee falls into the normal range of exchange fees you see elsewhere. But again, with a handful of Civitas in your wallet, transactions’ fees will be cut in half to .125%. For day traders or small volume investors, every percentage point counts. 

Another important feature found on the new exchange is Coin Voting. The community gets to choose which cryptocurrency they would like to see be listed next. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen an exchange or platform make a decision that leaves their investors scratching their heads. 

Cryptocurrency is still a relatively small industry. A lot of the growth we’ve seen over the past 9 years, minus a few media madness sessions, has been by simple word-of-mouth. As an individual, I would be less likely to promote something if I felt like the people behind it didn’t value my input. This is a small but vital feature that says a lot about the development team at PalitanX. 

My favorite feature? The Chat- I mean, Troll Box. Call it what it is and have fun with it. The best communities are the ones who put out quality products, but also doesn’t take themselves too seriously. This is just another opportunity to engage with the community and razz some people while you’re at it.  

Now that you’ve opened the exchange up, you may be thinking to yourself, “This feels pretty basic.” That’s because it is. Currently there are only five pairings that are tradable: Bitcoin/Civ, Litecoin/Civ, Bitcoin Cash/Civ, Monero/Civ, Bitcoin/Litecoin. There are plans in place to add more in the coming days, and then grow the number of pairings from there.  

This is the beginning. UI Development, additional features, User Experience; all of these things are in the pipeline. You’re not looking at a finished product. You’re looking at the first phase of a smart project that is being advanced in real time.  

Community Partnership 

The young coin finding another way to contribute to its value and investors is great. A new exchange that offers security and evolving features is fantastic. But neither of these things is what gets me truly excited about what’s happening here. 

A large, passionate community created a new cryptocurrency, Civitas. Another team of developers came along and developed an exchange in partnership with that community. What was one has now become two. What will come next? 

Communities are so important to the health and longevity of cryptocurrency. They allow investors to come together and become people, with names and families and struggles. There is a collective support system not just for the industry, but also for each other. 

The classic term is synergy; two entities come together and in doing so, their collective output is larger than their individual parts. Two communities, Civitas and PalitanX, came together to create what will become a superior product. Not only for their current community members, but also for anyone who sees value in their work.  

As each day passes, the number of people seeing that value is growing.
