I was intrigued by Ripple when it first came out. Unfortunately the biggest obstacle they had at the time was the trivial process of procuring XRP. It's in the top ten on coinmarketcap so it must be doing well now.

    They have been around for a long while, and development is still going on, but yep that's true.
