What is the best exchange to use?

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago

The main exchanges are having issues.

First it was Poloniex...

Lately it has been Bittrex.

Seems like many exchanges are having trouble these days with the Steem wallets.

Blocktrades seems to be one of the only games in town.

It is not ONLY steem as I have seen some other coins having issues as well, but for this post I am talking mostly about steem since that is the one that I am using most often.

My friend told me the other day he has been trying to get money into his steemit account but is having trouble finding a way to get money into it other than through Blocktrades.

Not that there is anything wrong with using Blocktrades, they seem to be quite good.

I am just thinking that if he is having that problem I am sure others are as well, and we really need to have more than just one exchange accepting steem if we are get this place really rocking.

Anyways, what is the best exchange to use out there folks?

What is best for the USA users instead of CoinBase? Bittrex?

Depends what you want to trade with. Bittrex is good if you think about altcoins.
but if you just want to buy/sell btc or eth try this one: https://cex.io/r/0/up107520783/0/

I use Bittrex because it has a large selection of altcoins, but it lags a lot less than Poloniex. The interface and graphs on poloniex are nicer but overall Bittrex works super fast and like a charm.

In the longer run you should stay on the lookout for decentralized exchanges on the blockchain. Those are going to be replacing traditional exchanges pretty soon and will offer better security.

Hey voice,

I am really liking Bitfinex. Now it doesnt have nearly the alt coin selection as Bittrex so for the random alts i want i just stick with Bittrex. But for everything thing else I'm all for Bitfinex i would recommend trying it out for sure!

My favourite exchange right now is Bittrex. This exchange works really fast, it has a nice volume and a good variety of coins. I also like Poloniex but it's really laggy and sometimes is really hard to work. By the way, as @pandorasbox was saying, decentralized exchanges as WAVES will be the future.

i have an account on poloniex, bitfinex and bittrex.
I have send my SBD once to poloniex and I was waiting more then a week to get them on my account. also I saw info that Poloniex isn't very safe nowadays.
For buying and/or seeling steem I would sugest to use bittrex and blocktrades.
Also I think bittrex is second exchange by vol and amount of altcoins you can trade. That's quite easy and fast way to double your steem. but of course its quite easy to loose all of your found.

maybe some them are updating the new changes in the cryto space , some of them might be scams waiting to crash, in the main time our only option is to securely store away your coins

Bittrex and Bitfinex are the ones I currently use but like some of the others have already said, use Bittrex for its wide selection of different crypto-currency pairs since it has a lot of the one thats can 10X your money and use Bitfinex for all the main Crypto-Currency Pairs since the platform and interface on Bitfinex is so much easier to use with more useful tools. Another idea would be to sign up for Coinigy and import your API Documentations from every exchange that you already have so you can trade off of one website, one platform and have your information of your P/L all on one website. I think they still have a 1 month trial so can check it out. They seem very professional and always adding and improving new features to their services.
