Me, Myself and I in crypto.

This being my first post on steemit. This will be a very short and frank one.
And Knowing probably no one will ever read this, makes it easier to write.

To set the time frame : This was early october 2017 time.
I was looking into options of investment, the stock market looked real high at that moment, plus i had no background or exp in investing. Thought about 401k options as well, only to somehow stumble upon bitcoin/ethereum.

Needless to say, the first thing that struck me( most others) was the price rise it had, and the amount of money that was there to be made. [ to be honest, money is still the biggest driving force for me in this sphere, followed closely by decentralized structure ]. I was amazed at the amount of profits people were making.

I too got some guts, and got an account on coinbase, and bought some bitcoin worth $200 at ~$6K levels.
This was my first bite at bitcoin. I bought some more over the next 1 month or so.
With every passing day bitcoin went up, it felt like a dream. it felt like nothing can stop it.
It was a buzz, that kept lingering. a drag that seemed it wont stop.
But guess what, it buzz died, and there was blood on the street.
i even bought a portion of 1 bitcoin at $17k, only to find my dream being crushed.

Now: 3rd Feb 2018.
Bitcoin is hovering around 9K or so, and i have just held on to all my investments. i am 4 months into this, but have realized one thing.
"Patience" : this is the key, after 17K i havent bought anything. I am getting ready to buy some at 6-8 k levels.
But that is secondary.

The learning i have got from this 4 month experience has taught me a lot.
This sphere is full of people who are ready to educate others, give/teach others.
This has bee n a blessing, not in terms of money alone, but in terms of being a part of this revolution.
