These charts don't quite show the right time period if one wants to make predictions about Chinese New Year, which started on Feb 19 in 2015, Feb 8 in 2016, and Jan 28 in 2017. One credible explanation I heard for the drop in crypto prices just before Christmas 2017 was that Americans were taking profits to pay for holiday expenses, and it's certainly possible that a similar phenomenon will occur in Asia around Chinese New Year, which starts on Feb 16 this year. I'll be holding and looking for buy low opportunities in the next couple of weeks.
