As you may know that GTX 1060 will be soon coming to town (around July), what is your thought of using it to mine? In general, people would prefer AMD when they invest into mining operation because the cost is cheaper and the breakeven period is shorter. This is given that the per electricity generating profit is higher for AMD.
Would the GTX 1060 change the game for Nvidia? The original version of 1060 do not provide a very quick calculation power so I feel the new version would remain the same. The price is almost the same as the 1060 3G version which I do not find attractive.
One may also consider the salvage value, if mining becomes unprofitable, one could sell the GPU to the gamers, but not the case for this newly design GTX 1060 because it could only be used to mine only.
The reason is that Nvidia could create new product and not worry about the gamers will just get second hand from the miners. I would say this is a very good strategy move for Nvidia!
Its great if everythings tuned to optimize the mining programme

not just the GPU and there will be a new motherboard which supports 12 cards altogether and claims it will improve the mining efficiency. I guess we will see what is happening next. :)
