EcoBit

If climate change alarmism or sustainable living are your thing, there is a cryptocoin for you.

Personally, while I believe any kind of talk of climate change coming from those at the top is little more than a bunch of propaganda to persuade us to give over more of our freedom and control of our resources, I actually do like true sustainable living.

Enter EcoBit, currently holding its ICO.

Although the belief in the danger of climate change is the motivation for this coin's development, there are some really cool projects backing this coin up. The first is a thirty year concession of a large acreage of tropical forest that a Malaysian state government arranged with the EcoBit group. Their roadmap includes aquaponics, a spirulina farm, a free range farm, an ecohotel with ecotourism to go with it, a coconut plantation, and more.

The idea with investing in this coin is that you support sustainable use of resources and a share of the profits these ventures generate. I was especially intrigued to know that Ecobit will be running off the NEM technology.

I personally am looking at this coin as a possible future investment. I am holding off until after the ICO, as my experience has shown that most coins drop substantially in price as soon as they go on the open market.

I'm not endorsing this coin, but I saw an ad for it on CoinMarketCap this morning and thought it was interesting enough to share.
