Video Rebuttal: Hardware Wallets are Scams

in cryptocurrency •  8 years ago

Calling out BS when I see or hear it. Hardware wallets are the smartest and safest way to keep your currency safe. Even if you break your hardware wallet, and you have the key phrase you are completely secure. If a community look up to you, you have a responsibility to provide accurate, and informed information. Falsely educating your public is not only irresponsible, but a gross disservice.

Open a paper wallet.

Tattoo the 12 or 24 word seed on your arm.

Burn the paper wallet.

That is what I did. :P

FOLLOWED and upvoted dude ;) please do the same.

Haha Just Joking xD

Show me your seed and I might show you mine :)

Not going to fall for that 😂

I was just telling my wife we were going to need one.
From everything I've learned, they are the absolute safest way to store your crypto.

I own the trezor and I would never go without it or a hardware wallet for that matter.

If you have a link that gives you a perk and myself a coupon, don't be shy 😉

haha I wish I had such a coupon or perk. That wasn't a paid endorsement.

Had to ask.
Sometimes when you buy crypto gear they throw codes your way

I saw Tre's video, I respectfully disagree with him on that particular comment. But I think it was funny. What is great about Trevon is that he does not talk down to the audience. He says his opinion and expects that the audience will make their own judgement. I think that is why his following is so big. It is entertainment. Like a comedian he does not sugar coat how he feels or apologize for it. Is a comedian miss leading people by stating their opinion?

ALL THAT being said, I have a trezor and understand why it is a necessity.

If he's recording stuff in jest, which I doubt, he should state that with a disclaimer. If I was new to crypto and hanging on to his every words, as a newbie and he as being someone with so much SP and a large following, I would take his words as face value. I think a certainly level of care should be taken. Thanks for your feedback Bruce, I certainly appreciate it.

We personally keep a Ledger Nano S. It is true that you can print out paper wallets but that's not were WE personally would like hold our crypto.

.....keeping it 100, I'd like if Alison bought me a Nana Blue for my birthday. My S doesnt hold all of my wallets without switching out apps. The memory isnt that big i suppose. Think I "need" that Blue.......that thing is hella cool :)

The blue looks awesome, I think they need to bring the price down a bit however. I promise myself not to hold currency that cant be secured on a wallet, but I've veered off that promise a bit.

Us too....especially with SC. (thinking that is going to moon soon....we like the decentralized storage aspect......AND CHEAP TOO lol) Ledger best to get the app soon. We hope. -Eric and Al
