ENS-Lite Chrome Extension

 Wow, this is very cool!

How are you storing DNS records in your demo? Are you using the binary zonefile format used in my ensdns demo?

I spent part of today working on rewriting ensdns to act as a PowerDNS backend; it'd be cool to harmonise and use its protocol for the web API, so the same backend could be used for either the plugin or for a separate DNS server.

I also very much like the idea of storing SSL certificate fingerprints in ENS, so we could have an end-to-end secure web without trusted third parties. If you're not already, you should definitely join the name-registry channel on Gitter!

Edit: Also, another thought: You can eliminate the need for installation by using the JSON-RPC interface to a local (possibly light-) node. Or by persuading someone to write a JS light client.
