Each Day My Accounts Grow Bigger

I was just looking at my Steem-Engine wallet and pondering all that is happening on Steem. It is an incredible thing.

Here is my account:

Notice how that amount does not include the amount of PAL tokens I staked. This does not show up in the value although I am not too concerned about USD value. At this point, it is token accumulation time.

To start, there are a number of tokens on there that I have no idea what they are. They are just awarded for different things. Most likely they will never have a great deal of value, but who knows. Nothing like having a few lottery tickets.

I wrote a number of posts in the past how Steem is a compounding machine. Everything we do on here tends to compound upon itself. We are seeing more ways to earn tokens. This is going to continue to grow as more projects come online.

This morning, here was a comment on the post I put up.

In December, we had no idea that the PAL project take place and claim drop would be offered to Steemians. This is another form of rewards to those who are active on the blockchain.

Of course, none of this includes the tokens I earn for my walks using the @actifit application or what I get from @steemhunt or some of the other activities that I do which provide me with rewards.

This is the incredible part about Crypto-Economics. No longer are we relegated to operating in the single fiat currency that is determined for us. When projects decide to create their own token, they are doing so with their users in mind. The goal for these teams is to get the token out to as many people as possible. It is in their best interest to have more people holding it.

One of my beliefs is cryptocurrency will explode once people start getting it in their wallets. At present, fiat rules since it is what everyone is paid in. That is what people have in their accounts. To enter the world of crypto, people have to on-board by converting their fiat to crypto. This will not be the case.

My account with Steem-Engine is an example. There is nothing in that account that was purchased with fiat. STEEM was moved over in a few instances but that is it. The account is a result of direct rewards or swaps using already held cryptocurrency.

This is how I believe the future will be for tens of millions of people.

Just think about what it will be like when security tokens are also available. Imagine taking some of token X that was given as a reward and buying a fractional interest in some real estate. Or we could see real world companies tokenized, thus enabling partial ownership. Think about the idea of owning a piece of a local, profitable plumbing company.

As I always find myself saying, the possibilities are endless.

This is why I feel we are entering the Age of Abundance. Crypto-Economics is allowing the average person to partake in what was previously off limits. Are there going to be failures? Without a doubt. Not everything is going to succeed.

However, the losses can be mitigated by the fact we are involved in an arena where growth rates can far exceed what is available from most common investment opportunities. Like @metzli said, the traditional world pays a few cents a month whereas, on here, it is a few cents a day. That is a 30 times greater return.

For close to two years I have been preaching to have a long-term view of things and to keep taking consistent action. This is what will pay off in the end. Many choose to focus upon what is wrong and how bad things are on here. Sadly, those people are missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime.

Facebook and others are entering the world of cryptocurrency for a reason. This is not going away no matter what the authorities. Decentralized exchanges are going to make their lives next to impossible. How do you stop something which nobody has control over? That is what the powers that be are confronted with.

The best thing for everyone on here is to keep our noses to the grindstone, as they say, and keep creating. This will expand out wallets which will provide each of us with more opportunities.

Over time, we will see much larger growth rates than what the traditional world is experiencing. This is where we are positioned nicely.
