One year ago I came across with the report released by an independent Cybersecurity Predictions Institute based in the USA. As the year closes I can now reflect on my personal review the accuracy of my predictions.
I made eight predictions for 2020 in my social media private and public chant rooms, where I discussed regulations such as GDPR, the implications of ubiquitous encryption, the defense of aggregated data, ransomware and how insider threats will impact cloud security. I along with all other around me, the Crypto influencers, also discussed the threat to data aggregators and the specifics of cryptocurrency hacks. We believed that many of these predictions would also have a profound impact on privacy, and the events of 2020 largely showed that we were spot on.
