Random Cryptokitty - 3D model

Depends on the scale. If the whole thing was large enough so that the whiskers were about .4 mm in diameter, you could certainly print it on an FDM printer.

The real problem would be the supports for whiskers. Instead of printing them, I would probably just go get some light wire, print the main body, drill some small pinholes in the muzzle, and insert the wire with a little bit of superglue. That would turn out quite well.

The rest looks pretty printable. Maybe the overhang on the tail might need to be fixed a bit unless you really were okay with having supports under it, but otherwise – that would be solid.

How cool would that be!!

If @ricrod put the eventual model up on Shapeways, interested folk could literally pay to have them printed and Ric could pit a little fiat currency in their pocket besides.

I'm pretty sure several people might enjoy buying such a thing.

The cat design is someone else's property. I just did the 3d model, so I wouldn't feel good selling it on shapeways.

I can share the model for free, as is, just know that it has to be made ready for print. Supports, as lextenebris said, and also thickness and an exit hole, if it's going to be printed in a material that needs one. Maybe removing the wiskers.

Right now I don't have time for that. Anyone interested in printing would have to prepare the model and print at his own risk.

If you still want the model just let me know and I'll upload it. Can a user upload files to steemit?

As an aside, if someone from Cryptokitties wants to do official toys sometime in the future, I'd love to help. :)
