Switzerland is taking one more step further in terms of Crypto adoption.

The leading Swiss stock exchange, SIX, has announced plans for a “new market infrastructure” - effectively a cryptocurrency exchange under the same regulations and level of oversight as SIX itself, regulated by Finma, the Swiss financial supervisor, according to the Financial Times.

It was announced on Friday that the first services are set for release in the first half of 2019.

Jos Dijsselhof, SIX chief executive, said it is a great news for us and he clearly said that “The financial industry now needs to bridge the gap between traditional financial services and digital communities.”
