Back in the 2000 years, Google had just managed to establish itself as the number 1 search engine in the world ; Yahoo and MSN were the best ways to do what most people do right now on Facebook or other chatting apps. You could simply go there and find chatrooms to speak with anyone in the world, or also play games, free games, like backgammon and chess. Now those services have disappeared, as Skype and Facebook have managed to literally eat the market.
Have you ever wanted to monetize your skills in one game or another ? Have you ever wanted to keep your gains somewhere safe, without having to transfer them via Paypal or any other kind of payment method ? That's what we're going to see now.
-----About the coin
ChessCoin was created in 2016. It uses the proof of stake mechanism to create blocks. It is a process that has been suggested and put into practice more recently. I won't give details about it, just the fact it is used in many altcoins that are not so well-known, unlike the proof of work mechanism which concerns most of the well-known coins. The proof of stake mechanism uses less energy, so it is safer for the environment, because it doesn't put many miners in competition: it chooses one miner in a deterministic way depending on its wealth. For more details on this difference, see this site :
https://blockgeeks.com/guides/proof-of-work-vs-proof-of-stake/
Moreover, they have made an announcement last week that they had generated more than 60 million coins, which is impressing (30 million less than Ethereum, a bit more than Litecoin), and tells a lot about their project which seems serious.
They have already organized several tournaments, with rewards in ChessCoin when you win a game and a big reward for the tournament winner. You can see all the details about the way the coin is created, its source code, its data, and the chess tournaments on those sites:

-----Evolution
Even if it was created in 2016, it took quite a while to burst.
Evolution of the value of ChessCoin since its creation in 2016
From this data, we can deduce the fact that there are 3 main phases:
-the first one being from its creation to April 2017: the value stays below 0.0005 $ and doesn't change much, only tiny oscillations.
-the second phase being from April 2017 to November 2017: what we could call a swelling up phase, as it quickly grows up past 0.001 and yet still oscillates, but stays above this 0.001$ limit, oscillating between 0.001$ and 0.005$ until November.
-the third phase being from November 2017 until now: this time an obvious burst, in 2 stages: first from 0.001 (on November 13th) to 0.01$ and then back to about 0.008$ on December 27th, then from this point in December 27th to January 8th when it reaches 0.02$ for the first time. Now we can see an oscillation setting up, between 0.015 and 0.02$.

-----My personal view
This is for me one of the most entertaining coins for sure :D . Seriously, this is linked with an interesting game that requires a lot of brain and anticipation. I like to compare the actions you do in your whole life with a chess game. In my view, chess is everywhere in the world, we just have to look at how things happen. It is transcending the whole world. That's why it seems totally normal that it is included in the cryptocurrency world as well. It is very interesting for me that this game has a coin dedicated to it. It shows just how people enjoy having fun, doing brain games. Don't forget life should be first about having fun. As Sid Vicious said earlier (at some time in 1978; in his final interview, before he died when he was aged 21):
"I'd like to have fun ! Any kind of fun, just fun. That's my object in life"
That's it ! Thanks for your attention ! I will be back soon with more of the same kind ! Stay crazy and keep making fun of life instead of letting it make fun of you :D

Your posts are very, very ambitious!
Maybe is kind of a waste to keep them only on Steemit, maybe dress them in the busy org link and send them to the world:

BTW, I am a chess player but not a holder of the chess coin yet. Maybe time to get some ;-)

Thanks, I know I have a mentality that consists in getting to the end of things, I enjoy putting as much effort and ambition as I can in literally everything I'm doing, this can have backwards but it's like I'm my worst enemy, being an addictive kind of worker when I get into something. As for chess, I've played it so many times, but still, I'm always looking for a new strategy, I don't have one in particular, I prefer adapting to what my opponent proposes. There are so many possibilities of games, 10 to the power of 120 (Shannon number), so I guess I have to get more experience, because the best players know how to see moves miles before they appear.

Thanks for that link by the way, didn't know it until now, I've thought about being a youtuber but I just feel I don't have the patience and "courage" to go all the way making videos everyday even if I don't want to, it requires a lot of time to present yourself well and always deal with your cam problems, so I'm more efficient when I put ideas on a sheet of paper or in a post. Anyway, I'm gonna use your link, thanks. I should soon create a Facebook account linked with this particular topic, I need time to create it, so that it spreads more across the world, to the people who haven't joined Steemit yet, maybe it can be a way to get another audience (I believe I did it with my Soundcloud support who is still to grow) and bring it there so that Steemit ends up overrunning Facebook like I predict it :D
