Gypsum Green var. Selenite: Lubin Copper Mine, Poland. personal collection

This is an amazing Selenite specimen collected from the Lubin Mine in Poland. The Selenite displays a coloration that ranges from being colorless to vibrant; all which is dependent on conditions and composition of minerals present during formation. Selenite is a variety of gypsum, a soft sulfate mineral. When chemically pure, gypsum is transparent and colorless, however, impurities give the gypsum a diverse range of colors and formations.
