This is really the start of a series of articles where i will discuss how to get into mining. The 3 main areas we are going to cover are
1)Mining with assets you already have
2)Mining with your own customized mining rigs
3)Mining with purchased Hashing power
Mining isn’t actually very hard to do. You can actually use assets you most likely have already in your own home. Your computer’s CPU/Graphics card. However, mining programs generally support the new graphics card so you might be out of luck if you tried to use a really old card. I would say that any computer from 3 years ago will be able to mine.
So how do you actually start if you are a tech Newbie? Really all you have to do is to signup and download a niffy program called MinerGate.
The reason why i recommend using Minergate is because:
a)It has a GUI so there isn’t any sort of fiddling with Configuration files
b)It automatically selects the most profitable Coin in its supported coin base to mine.
Of course, a hard core miner will never use Minergate because it isn’t the most efficient mining program to run but its perfect for beginners using whatever computing resources they have.
