Enigma was looking to be a very promising ICO. It had a lot of support behind it however;
- lack of security lead to their website, and slack channel being compromised (developer used the same password for all his accounts).
- as a result, a huge number of keen investors fell victim to hackers who used the official Enigma channels to convince prospective investors to send ETH to compromised addresses; which Enigma did not offer any form of compensation (just re-iterated the importance of security).
It seems with such a strong following, investors were all too forgiving.
Now after prospective investors have agreed to all the terms and conditions, Enigma (sneakily) changed the total supply and market cap (in the order of 50% extra tokens!!!) by adding the additional lines to their ICO process article as follows:
We have therefore decided to adjust the total number of ENG tokens that are being created and the number being distributed in our crowdsale.
There will now be 150M total tokens in the supply
That behaviour is definitey a huge red flag for me. Stay safe everyone and keep wise with any investments!
