A presentation by Zooko Wilcox at Zcon0 on Tuesday, has sparked somewhat of a scandal on social media.
The presentation revealed by the CEO of the Zcash Company, stayed that Zooko Wilcox, earns $305,000, or $3.65 million annually from the $650 million zcash cryptocurrency network he helped create.
Following the presentation, Jackson Palmer, the founder of $260 million cryptocurrency dogecoin, tweeted,
“I really did this whole ‘starting a cryptocurrency’ thing wrong, didn’t I?”
It’s a notable critique, as in the past few weeks, an
Zooko, the independent zcash wallet developer of Zcash Company has been criticized in the past few weeks because he went so far as to threaten to “rage quit” and split the blockchain due to the absence of further funding from the community.
