One of the biggest CSGO tournaments of the year with a $1 M prize pool is coming to an end with the final today.
A very new Finnish team faced NaVi yesterday, team with arguably the best player in the world and against the odds beat them 2 to 1 in a very close match. Even though s1mple was having a really great game it was not enough to carry his team to the victory and the Finns determination and teamwork brought them to the final.

Today they are playing versus Astralis who are ranked first in the world by a long shot. The whole community over at r/globaloffensive are of course on the underdogs side this tournament and really want them to win.

As someone who has been a football fan for a long time I can tell you they can not be compared but are just as entertaining to watch. :)

I do not like the Astralis team like many others, I really want to want them to lose and go home as much as possible, every major they are in the final.

To be honest, it was a pretty boring match. The outcome was already determined long before they started. There are basically one team out there who can beat Astralis on a map or two, and that's NiP. I guess it's due to the so called NiP-Magic, as they can beat Astralis even though they've played pretty bad for a very long period of time. Other teams seems to struggle more than NiP against Astralis.
An amazing Major overall and I'm amazed to see ENCE come this far. That's really amazing. I hope ENCE and NiP, who were able to get to the Legend-status again, will continue to rise. I don't hate Astralis, but I honestly think they play rather boring CS. I don't like the meta in CS right now. 4 AUGs and an AWP.
It was way better to watch tournaments when people tried to get some awesome one-shots with deagles and when you got to see really cool plays. Astralis plays so strategic so it's boring to watch. But they are obviously playing extremely well, as they win pretty much every tournament they participate in. Like someone else already stated, I love the oldschool players. f0rest is my absolute favorite. Pasha and Neo were awesome too, but they've never been consistent meanwhile f0rest have been up there for the entire time. He has been pulling numbers more or less every match he has played, even when NiP has played bad. Which they have done for a long period of time.

Unfortunately, I had plans for today and couldn't watch live, but I was rooting for ENCE, such a beautiful story from a team that was formed so recently and is showing that the youngsters will have a word to say in the next years to come.

Myeaah, it was kinda clear after the loss on train that it's almost impossible to beat astralis at inferno. but gg for getting to the final anyway!
