The CTP Update - What Happens Now?

What a crazy weekend it's been....

Unless you've been living under a rock on Steem, you've heard the news by now. Steemit Inc has been purchased by Justin Sun (@justinsunsteemit)

Wow, cool....Who is Justin Sun?

As a lot of you are brand new to crypto, Justin is the founder of the TRON project. TRON is a pretty big deal, and flirts with the Top 10 on CoinMarketCap.com

Currently it's #15 with a market cap of 1.4 billion dollars...Yeah it's got some punch!

And Justin is an entrepreneur that takes a lot of what Silicon Valley does, and brings it to the blockchain. He's purchased BitTorrent and Dlive in the past...So his acquisition of Steemit is a big move on his part.

Regardless of what you think or others may say about the guy, he knows what he's doing. He's smart and on paper, seems like a perfect 'CEO' when it comes to Steemit.

So this is where is gets a bit fuzzy....

You see, Steemit is NOT Steem. Steemit is a huge holder of Steem tokens but when it comes down to it, it's an application on top of the STEEM blockchain. But he still has control of millions of STEEM tokens and in this environment, the more stake you have, the more control you have.

It's way too early to tell what will happen with this new 'merger' or if it merges at all. And there are pro's and con's to every angle you look at....But here's what hasn't changed.

The Steem community are the biggest asset that this blockchain has. The people drive this place and the track record of passionate Steemians here isn't a newsflash to those invested in Steem.

And I don't think Justin is here to destroy the biggest asset he bought into. He did not 'buy' the blockchain but he's now the biggest stake holder in the most vibrant blockchain community ever. Let's see what he does with that privilege.

But what does that mean for CTP?

Right now, it's all the same as it was last week....Keep creating!

Keep engaging! And keep growing your network on this amazing blockchain. Don't ever stop growing!

It has great potential if he manage to handle it correctly, but we will see at least there won't be an immediate token swap like the first press release talked about, and awesome work with CTPtalk this is where I will continue to be, so just keep on creating and building, stay awesome.

You already know I am not going anywhere! There are too any exciting things on the horizon & going forward, I choose to be positive about this transition. As I said before, change is inevitable & hopefully this will evolve Steem as we know it, for the better. :)
