Hello Everyone! Getting a late start to day 2 of 2020. It is a bright, sunny day here in Kenosha, WI. I just love that what I do doesn't require me going out and commuting to an office or somewhere else to work.
I have often heard it said that even if you work at home you should still get dressed in work attire. It is supposed to make a difference in your productivity and how you show up. I happen to strenuously disagree with that. I love working in my sweats and/or pjs. If I am comfortable I am happy and that is one less issue to deal with. Of course I am not saying that I never get dressed and get out. I do meet with friends for breakfast or lunch on occasion. I just don't feel like a dress code is something to worry about when working at home. I am working at home so I don't have to worry about what to wear to work. So, everyday is beyond casual Friday for me.
I would be very interested to know how those of you reading this post feel about the need to get dressed for working at home. Do you feel like what you wear or don't wear makes a difference in your productivity or how you show up?
Have a great day! See you tomorrow.
