Snowing Saturday in Southeast Wisconsin

Good Saturday Morning!

Well there are only two NFL playoff games left this weekend and both of them are tomorrow. I am not really a football fan. I don't hate it and I was raised in a family of Green Bay Packer fans so when I am at my parents and there is a game on I watch some of it. My cousin works at Lambeau field on the sideline as a timekeeper. My understanding is that he is there to make sure that the game is moving along properly and they get all the commercials in where they are supposed to be. That is his passion gig. He is retired and does that when the Packers play at home. He did it while he was still working full time. I was actually more of a Brett Favre fan! He was inspiring to watch. You could see how much he enjoyed playing football. Enough of that for now.

Grateful I don't have to go anywhere today! I don't fancy driving in the bad weather especially when there is no pressing need to go out. I said to my husband last night that I was wondering how many Uber and Lyft drivers in the area had turned off their phones last night. Actually if they were working last night they could have made pretty good money. Lots of people still go out in this weather.

I am one of the people who is being blamed for brick and mortar stores going out of business because I do so much of my shopping online. Ridiculous! I still grocery shop in the store and we have several stores very close to us. Minutes away. :-)

We just paid another bill to Spectrum (our Cable TV and Internet provider). We are discussing other options. One of them being stopping the cable and just having the high speed internet. I have to say it's pretty darn fast even though we aren't yet paying for the highest speed. If they don't give us a better deal for a package of channels we are looking at just streaming. We already pay for Amazon Prime so we have a Fire TV box and have access to that content. And then we will just up the internet speed. I will never understand why the Cable providers think it makes more sense to keep offering these crazy deals to new customers and the customers who have been loyal paying customers for many years get to pay extra. What part of it costs less to keep loyal customers than to advertise for new ones all the time do they not understand? I guess customer satisfaction and retention aren't high priorities for them. Oh well! Rant over.

Time to get going on the rest of my to dos for today. I love living in an apartment because plowing and shoveling snow is not one of them. :-) It is being done as I write this post. Have a great rest of your Saturday! See you again tomorrow.
