The horse race tradition of the Gayo highlands, the province of Aceh still survives today. In fact it has become an event in the tourism calendar in the province of Aceh.

According to the history of the horse pacing used to be held every harvest of rice. Along with the development of horse racing events currently held on every anniversary of the birth of the city in Gayo
