Culture, values. Do they exist and do they matter?

Yes, culture exists, and matters a lot, and some people will always have different values based on their culture. Recognizing that culture and values exist, are important, and discussing this in good faith would be a good place to start on a path back to sanity.

The craziness today is driven by the Left, but this is the same delusion you saw from Bush 2 and Rumsfield thinking they could save Iraqi's and of course they would become liberal democracy loving American values types after being liberated from Saddam. Yeah right. Different culture, different values, different fears, different wants, different reality for them. That is part of humanity and people and nations ignore this at their peril.

Culture and race are not the same thing. They are often significantly correlated, that is true, and they are not the same thing, that is also true.

When all you have is a hammer, race, the whole world looks like a nail, racism.

Nuance gets lost when hegemony takes root, left, right, or sideways. Here, today, is so happens that hegemony exists in the left.

So I shine a light there, bec that is the threat, here, today.

The problem is a lack of nuance, the ease and utility of "black and white thinking" the inclination to attribute the source and solutions to all problems to a single, or a very limited set of cause and effect, ideology. People don't like thinking so this is and will remain a very effective tool for controlling the masses. We like easy answers, not complex problems without obvious or easy solutions.
