I’ve always wondered, if I ever met myself ten years ago, what I would like to say to the “teen me”?

"Maybe gossip less,study more.”

No”.

"Or don’t upset if you become last in the race.”

 “No, that’s not right”.

“Perhaps, you have no idea, the amazing things that life will bring it to you.

“Hmm…its not the best piece of advice.”

Hmm…maybe just two words.”

You're beautiful.

Your eyes. They are beautiful. They are not blue or hazel like those stupid lyrics in romantic songs. They are just dark brown like winter roasted chestnuts with rims of darkest chocolate.Your hair. Messy, wild and obstinate just like you. Don’t even straighten those stubborn curls and the knots because they are beautiful.

Your body is beautiful. It will change. It will become moody. It will get tired. You have to embrace all those changes. You have to live all those moments because they are beautiful. Your height is never short.Only perspectives are short. The colour of skin is not colour shade card to determine which class you are belonged to. Its a special natural contour that only god gifted for you.It is beautiful.

Your crooked feet which is more crooked than your teeth. It has seen miles. I bet it is strong enough to walk to every corners of the earth. Your teeth is not perfectly in order and it do scares out the dentist often. However it do brings out the shine when you smile.Smile because it the most expensive accessory that you possess. You have to show to the whole world because it is beautiful. Your laughter that is loud enough to wake the whole room and your weird habits that distinguishes who you are and the others. They are beautiful.

When you grow up,people will say that “you are not well behaved Indian girl”. Firstly ask them to define “well behaved” or “ Indian” or even “girl”. As you grow, the rules will grow along with you like walls.Silently break those walls. The world will tell you to become “like this”, “like that” , “ be like him” or “ be like her”. But you do what want to do.You be what do you want to be. Once try to brace your fear then see where it leads you. Don’t rent out the your phases of lives to the judgment of the others. This is your life, you have live as you like it.Never stop believing that you are beautiful.

Perhaps you may not know who you are today but someday when you are surrounded with your old books, you might say, this is what I want to tell to this 16 year old mischievous and rebellious girl and in 2008 Lee Chong Wei will definitely bring an Olympic medal from Beijing Olympics.
