Visiting Aceh, incomplete if you do not taste Sanger, blend coffee mixed with milk with a little sugar which is a typical coffee country Serambi Makkah. This special drink is easily found in coffee shops in Banda Aceh.
Sanger is not formulated by baristas using machines, but with a typical coffee filter for the robusta type. But now Sanger has also started formulated using arabica coffee machine.
The people of Aceh know two versions of Sanger's history. One version mentioned origin of Sanger's word is "Sange". This title to facilitate the designation of coffee blend, mixed with milk and added sugar.
Another version says, sanger started from a number of students in 1996 to drink milk coffee. because at that time economic conditions worsened, students racked their brains to keep drinking coffee mixed with milk.
Then was born the idea with the title "equally understand" which is abbreviated as sanger. In order for students to still enjoy affordable coffee milk, some students are asking coffee makers to make coffee, mix a little milk and added sugar to sweet.
A number of communities make Sanger a typical Aceh drink. No half-hearted, the social media community community @iloveaceh who has many followers working with ILATeam Management makes a special day called Sanger Day. Being crowned October 12 as Sanger Day.
This year is the second anniversary of Sanger Day. This year there are 9 coffee shops in Aceh freeze hundreds of glasses of Sanger for loyal customers. A number of warkop who participated in Sanger Day participants in Banda Aceh, among others, El Comandante Coffee Batoh, Tanabata Coffee Shop Ulee Kareng, Harvies Coffee Greetings Lampriek, Break Time Coffee Shop Peunayong, Cut Nun Kuta Alam, Hobbies Caf Lamteh Ulee Kareng, Juice & Coffee Barr Cork Lampriek, Taufi Kopi Pucot Baren, and Station Coffee Premium in Lhokseumawe City.
"There are 200 glasses of sanger on October 12th will be given free by warkop for all followers @iloveaceh," said Irwanti in Banda Aceh, Monday (12/10).
The general public or followers @iloveaceh can enjoy free Sanger on condition of photographing Sanger in warkop and uploading to twitter or instagram by giving #sangerday and #ilovesanger tagar and then showing to waitress or cashier. He said, photos uploaded to twitter or Instagram will get an assessment from the team @ iloveaceh. It promises a reward for the creative photo uploader.
