Rencong is a traditional Aceh weapon. Rencong has two forms, the first short-handed ones used for women and the second long-handled used for men.
Rencong raw materials are very diverse, both handles, gloves and blades.
Formerly Rencong's handles and sheaths are made of hardwood, the buns are now made of buffalo horns. The ancient Rencong blade is made of iron of choice, but now it is made of brass.
