in culture •  6 years ago

This dance was originally from Manggeng, which is one of the areas in South Aceh. This dance is usually performed by men. From the poem, this traditional dance aims to instill moral values in the community, and the first time this dance was developed began in 1965 where the Rapai Geleng Dance became a means of da'wah.

Until finally attracted the interest of the audience. The word "Rapai" in this dance comes from a musical instrument similar to a musical instrument in the form of a drum used by dancers. Now known as "tambourine".
