What is Setsubun Day? What should we do?
Setsubun is the day before the beginning of Spring.
On this day, we do ‘Mame Maki’. (Mame means beans, Maki means scattering)
We scatter roasted soybeans inside and outside our houses to drive away evil and bring in good luck while saying, “Oni wa soto, fuku wa uchi’’ (In English: Devils Out! Good Luck In!)
Usually, Fathers pretend to be evil, putting on evil mask. hahaha

After scattering roasted soybeans, we customarily eat them the number of our age to pray good luck.

And then, we eat rolled sushi, Ehomaki, while facing the year's "lucky" direction. It is South-South-East in 2018.

We should not talk anything during eating it. We have to keep praying good luck until eating all.

After all finished, we clean scattered soybeans up in our house.
Pigeons will eat them at outside tomorrow morning. No need to clean up outside! Hehehe

And

Birthday Pizza Party, we also had.
