Because of the very cold weather in the central Christian highland area of this Horn of Africa nation Eritrea -- nearly twice as cold as Kabale in southwestern Uganda -- their traditional dress is made of thick cotton material.

A small, low-key Eritrean community lives in Uganda and mostly works in retail trade, restaurants and merchandise distribution.
