The Basigu have a very crazy cultural ritual locally known as "Imbalu" which in English is Circumcision. When there is some one who is going to be circumsized, they move around house to house collecting money which has to be used in the performing this ritual.
Many people in Bugisu like this ritual where by most of them participate in it by joining the crowds of people moving with the person who is to be circumsized. They go all the way till they reach the scheduled place where they are to do the ritual from.
These sing songs as they dance in a celebration manner as they accompany the one who is going to be circumcised.
This is a very interesting culture and ritual where nothing can stop them. Not even rain. The photos above show them enduring the rain and the muddy roads.
cultural rituals are mostly funny in our country too... I think they wont give any local anesthesia to the guy going to loss his skin. Thats why these much celebration to insist him on the situation..lol. just for fun mate. photos are really nice. enjoy more circumcise parties.

Thank you for sharing this culture with the masses. I guess they do this to support the person to go through with the ritual. Can't back down if your whole community behind you. Not even if it means choping off a piece of your penis 😭
