Iceland completely removed gender inequality in business life. In the country, it is forbidden for men to pay more salaries than women, starting from the new year.

Women organized protests and demanded that they paid less than men: Equality
The law, which introduced a wage equalization with the female parliamentary members becoming active, became effective as of January 1st.
Workplaces that do not comply with the law in the public and private sectors and do not receive the necessary certifications will be punished.
Switzerland and the United States have similar applications in Minnesota, but Iceland is making a first in terms of wage inequality by imposing enforcement.
According to the report of the World Economic Forum, the country ranks first in gender equality in the last 9 years.
"Equality rights are human rights, we have to treat men and women equally in the workplace, and we must do everything we can to achieve this goal," Icelandic Equality and Social Affairs Minister Thorsteinn Viglundsson said in March 2017, the first time to remove the wage inequality altogether.

Hi @berk thank for entering the challenge. This is an interesting topic and certainly suitable for entering the challange but for this challenge we want people to share their experiences and perspectives rather than use an article that was written by someone else.

It's fine to include some content (subject to copyright) from external sources but you will do much better if you summarise it in some way (and reference). That is a general comment for Steemit content but in particular for this challenge you will need to relate the content to Culture and share your experience. Thanks again for entering.
