Meet some new Steemians! New user curation 25-Jun-18 (better format?!)

Have you tried browsing the #introduceyourself tag and been frustrated at how difficult it is to find actual introduceyourself posts? Well, look no farther! The following is curated list of people who are new to Steem. I have read each of these posts and they look to be interesting additions to the community!

Holy crap I actually scrolled through a full 24 hours of posts and hit where I left off last night! Woohoo!

Some big changes today, both to the format and to my criteria. You've already seen the new format, which better categorizes how excited I am about each post and really pares down the detail for each person. I also decided to stop including people who I just didn't find all that interesting, even if they have a decent post. The way I see it, if your intro post is just a few details about your history and how excited you are to be on Steemit, you probably aren't going to be putting out interesting content. You gotta sell me on yourself to make the cut!

If you're interested in seeing what the previous format looked like, here's my last post.

Thanks to @fromage for the feedback, I do hope you enjoyed the changes. Keep it coming as I refine this idea into something quick, easy, and useful!

Thank you so much for including me as a top pick! I feel honored to be included on your list.

Very nice. I made a close study of the new introduceyourself entries myself a few weeks back and noted the preponderance of new users from five very poor regions of the world (more than half of all new users.) I took a lot of flack too, for suggesting that Steemit was turning into a "get rich scheme" for the underprivileged. I didn't want to see people given false hope, but I was called everything from an "elitist" to a racist for pointing out that this is not what the platform should be about, and that it would (if continued unabated) end in the END of Steemit and its great potential, for ALL--rich and poor.

I noticed the same thing. An overhwhelming majority of new accounts came from 1 of 3 countries: India (to be expected based on their population), Venezuela (economic crisis), and Nigeria (culture of get rich quick? Haha).

And Aceh Province of Indonesia (devastated by 2012 EQ/tsuanmi) and Bangladesh ad The Philippines. India only very recently started showing up a lot. It was those other five before the last couple weeks.

yes sir I noticed that the @dollarsandsense 2.0 was much, much better than the old @dollarsandsense 1.0
in fact the original was kinda obsolete.

Wow, you have such a big heart to do this for all of them. Your effort goes a long way @dollarsandsense :) it is not easy to stay motivated on this platform but you doing this, is surely going to imprint something in them to keep steeming on! Thank you for doing your part to build Steemit :)
