I'm new to steemit but not to writing. I've been writing professionally since I was 14. I think what you are doing is quite generous! It's harder today for writers to be noticed, especially good writers because so many people write and not all of it is quality. I have only posted a couple of times here in the last few weeks but it's on my weekly schedule now. I have written for television, articles, essays, prose, been published in books, written produced songs and more. It's great to connect with writers, too. Every article I write has humor in it. My television series and two of my produced tv pilots were informational. My current comedy teleplay was produced as a pilot but like many it did not take off. I'm tweaking it and it has some interest. I am also in the midst of writing a series of children's books with a writing partner. I also edit screenplays for a screenwriter who happens to also be another writing partner. I totally believe in collaboration. And this is the epitome of collaboration!
