My Weekly Curation Update

in curation •  7 years ago

Hi all and welcome to my new weekly curation roundup.

CuratorSealOfApproval.png

In this round-up, I am going to go through various things, such as the posts that I have submitted and had approved by @curie, as well as a bit of detail around why I liked a few specific ones as well as some general curation bits and pieces.

So firstly, we begin with curie.

This week I have had 10 submissions approved by curie, out of 11 submissions (one was closed due to it already being upvoted by steem-stem and its trail, which curie follows). That is another 100% week for me, which I am really pleased with

There are a few here that I really liked

@rubencress and his Street Photography post was of high enough quality to get a re-steem by curie. It makes me immensely proud as a curie curator when this happens to a post that I have found. An upvote alone can be a big boost to an account in terms of awareness, but a re-steem is a large order of magnitude better. Curie only re-steems the best of the best, and the photos in this post are some of the best that I have seen on the blockchain. I'm also delighted to say that @rubencress is now a member of the curie team. Hopefully, he will be finding your posts soon. I don't think I really need to go into why this post was accepted for the curie upvote. The quality of the images speak for themselves. It was a pleasure to see it pop up on my feed.

@drewsmusic produced a really interesting music post. I don't think it can be understated how difficult this kind of looping live performance is. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was something very different to the usual openmic entries that we see a lot of. Congrats on the curie vote drew, and I can't wait to see your blog evolve.

@mimoartes produced this wonderful post . Curie guidelines state that images and works of art should be original to steemit. The final image here had been posted on instagram in the past, but the details around how the image was created and the wonderful textual description added a ton of originality and turned this into a sure-
fire submission. And what an artist!! This image has made it onto my desktop background. I absolutely love it.

So those are my top 3 curie approvals for this week. My whole curie submission approval history can be found on the @steemsearch blog. If you are interested in seeing what kind of posting curie looks for, this is a great place to start.

There are a number of curators that I have recommended into curie. All are doing well so please drop them a follow and see what content they are finding.

@silentscreamer

Now onto some other stuff....

I started looking into seeing how well I could compete in @abh12345's Curation League. I've developed a new (secret) technique for curation which I have been testing out this week. The results of this test won't appear in the Asher's league until the end of next week when payout have completed, but at the moment things are looking promising. Based on my current predicted SP rewards I should be around the 4SP per 1000, easily putting me in the top 10, maybe even the top 5. This week i appeared at 11th place, which i'm pretty chuffed with.

With this level of curation rewards, I'd love for you to follow my Steemauto trail in order to see if you can make a bit back from your invested SP by automatically upvoting good quality content.

That's it for this week. If you want to find out more about curie, then pop into our discord channel..

Someone will always be about to chat or help you out.

Good luck with your posts this week
