Being a writer of stories myself, ever since I discovered Steemit and stumbled upon gems of fiction lying hidden in this busy highway of Steemit, I had always wanted to build enough SP to be able to curate and up vote some of these amazing content. Sadly I did not have enough SP to be able to add much value. I had at one point even made a post requesting for delegations but sadly what happens with these gems of posts happened with this request post as well.
It was then that I came across a post from @krnel who was going to be on a vacation for a week and as a part of his "Pay-it-Forward" initiative as a Steem Witness, wanted to delegate his 39K SP. @kernel could have very easily rented out his SP to a bid bot to make some money while he was away but instead chose to make this post inviting people to let him know why he should be considering their request for a delegation. I made my request stating that I had always wanted to curate in the fiction tag but never could do much due to my low SP. I had quite forgotten about this but when I logged in yesterday, to my surprise, noticed "+200 STEEM" under my existing SP.
I jumped with joy!
I could finally do what I always intended to. Coupled with my 270 SP, I now have 470 SP. I know that's not a lot but I just wanted to rise to action.
My 100% up vote is now valued at $0.09 and below are the top 2 fiction post I have curated with my new found superpower. I have further upvoted on numerous posts of fiction between 16%-32% VP but the below are the ones that just really impressed me. Do take a look at them and consider showering your love on these, up voting them

2. THE CIRCLE OF LIFE by @kingingodwin
A very simple yet truth telling tale of how a big vicious circle our life really is. We fill our lives with lies, deceit and treachery, forgetting someone else might be doing the same to us or someone we love.
