I was lead to believe self votes aren't such a good thing earlier on in this community. So I guess i'm just confused on how people feel about it anymore.

This issue frustrates me though. A lot of people state their opinions like they are facts. It isn't true. Many of us feel that self voting is one of the biggest reasons to build your stake.

I am not talking about Haejin, ten posts a day... I am talking about helping yourself grow your own account instead of putting yourself in a position to feel frustrated all of the time. You can't help others much without building a base of your own. Ask anyone who has a small account and is working hard... Are they frustrated? Yes. It is in my opinion because they are getting and taking bad advice! BAD ADVICE. Own your own growth!

I don't take any opinions as fact. I think I will try upvoting myself a few times now. lol
Thanks for shedding some light on that issue for me.

lol, sorry I got a bit angsty with you. :) It isn't directed at you. The frustration is with giving people bad advice which causes them to get frustrated and quit. Then those same people make up their own reasons why people quit. lol. It is a cycle of failure, that triggers me.

If you think you make good content and engage well with others on the site, by all means give yourself an upvote! If you don't value what you do, why should I? :)

I recently changed my rewards to 100% power . You make good points, no hard feelings. lol

Let me reassure you there's still enough people thinking it's a bad idea. (Including myself.)
But I can't go out and tell everyone, right?
For someone who has made some investments to grow his account self-voting is a means to protect his investments to some extent. Thus in fact it's useless to have minnows discussing self-votes because wealthier users don't care anyway ...

If I could upvote myself $30 dollars everyday I think I would. lol
